CalYOUTH in the Loop
CalYOUTH in the Loop is a project that allows youth to learn about the CalYOUTH Transitions to Adulthood Study and respond to it with their voice and perspectives. By testing different avenues for feedback, we hope to explore and discover the best ways to reach youth with information and resources.
The CalYOUTH Study
The CalYOUTH Transitions to Adulthood Study (CalYOUTH) is an evaluation of the impact of the California Fostering Connections to Success Act (AB 12) on outcomes during the transition to adulthood for foster youth.
The study began in 2012 and has so far completed interviews with more than 600 youth at ages 16-17, 19 and 21. Chapin Hall is preparing to conduct interviews with these youth at age 23.
The latest wave of results includes the findings from interviews with the youth at 21 years of age.
